"BASEMENT WATERPROOFING"
We dry up your basement not your bank balance
SUMP PUMP
YOU MAY NOT NEED ONE
BUT WHETHER YOU DO OR DON'T
YOU ARE STILL AT THE RIGHT PLACE
OR you can always "do it yourself"
In some cases a sump pump may not be necessary to correct an incoming water issue...
In other cases all you may need is a sump pump or even multiple pumps...
In yet other cases both a pump and channeling may be required...
Your estimate will be for evaluation, recommendations and your informed consideration...
ALL JOBS ARE NOT THE SAME AND WE ARE NOT A ONE SIZE FITS ALL OPERATION
WHATEVER WE AND YOU DETERMINE YOU DO NEED,
we are not committed or obliged by some parent corporate entity to follow the "PPP" high end sales rule (maximize Product sales, Procedures & Profit) but will utilize which best suits your particular need - NO MORE, NO LESS...
--------------------------------------------------------
This would be the perfect solution
You will "never" eliminate exposure to the water table unless you build your house on stilts...
THERE IS WATER UNDER EVERY BASEMENT FLOOR
THERE IS WATER UNDER YOURS AS YOU READ THIS
IT'S ALL PART OF THE WATER TABLE
IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE AND YOU CANNOT PUMP IT DRY
THE ONLY ISSUES ARE HOW HIGH IT GETS AND THE HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE IT IS SUBJECTED TO...
-------------------------------------------------
Contrary to what the "OUTSIDE" boys will tell you (the ones who like to dig trenches),
WATER ENTRY THRU THE COLD JOINT, FLOOR CRACKS OR ANY FLOOR OPENINGS IS WHAT CAUSES MAJOR BASEMENT WATER ISSUES...
A RISING WATER TABLE...
NO OUTSIDE DIGGING PROCEDURE WILL STOP THE RISING OF THE WATER TABLE...
RISING WATER UNDER THE FLOOR IS THE ONLY FACTOR OF CONCERN AND CAN ONLY BE ADDRESSED AND CONTROLLED FROM WITHIN THE INSIDE PERIMETERS OF THE FOOTINGS WHERE IT IS RISING...
YOU CANNOT CONTROL THE RISING WATER TABLE OUTSIDE OF YOUR FOUNDATION...
WALL CRACKS CAN ALLOW FOR SOME LESSER INCOMING WATER ISSUES...
WE ALSO DO PERMANENT WALL CRACK CLOSURES TO STOP THAT WATER ENTRY AS WELL...
THE SUMP PUMP properly installed allows water to be engaged below the floor grade and to move water laterally under the floor (substrate permitting) to the sump pump well...
OUR STANDARD SUMP PUMP PROCEDURE (the only sump pump installation we do) - if you get water with heavy rains, a periodic or constant high water table, winter water, spring thaw water, cold joint water, water perking thru floor cracks or floor openings our procedure uses no under slab pipe but with a shallow well (approx. 16" deep)and submersible pump located below the floor, "at the best optimum performance depth and location", to prevent any "excess" incoming water from reaching the underside of the floor -this procedure is fully "code compliant" - simple, dependable, effective and won't break the bank - automatic on / off Zoeller submersible sump pump...
THE CUT AQUEDUCT CHANNEL will capture any under floor hydrostatic pressure water buildup coming in at the cold joint (where the floor and wall meet) that cannot move laterally under the floor slab, any thru wall water and provide the draining route for water buildup inside concrete blocks - all of that water is then directed to the sump pump with one procedure..
OUR CUT AQUEDUCT CHANNELING (approx. 3" wide and 1" to 2" deep to collect and evacuate all entry water at the same time) - it is the only really effective, accessible and positive procedure for stone or block foundations, ledge issues or any uncontrollable incoming water...
WE DO NOT cut the floor all the way thru, off the support of the footing, which compromises the structural integrity of the floor...
OUR CUT CHANNELING WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION FOR AS LONG AS YOUR CONCRETE FLOOR LASTS AND REMAINS INTACT...
NO RUST OUT, WEAR OUT OR INACCESSIBLE PLUG UP...
WE HAVE "NEVER" HAD A FAILURE WITH OUR PROCEDURES
THERE IS NOTHING TO FAIL
POSSIBLE $$$ SAVING OPTION:
Under certain conditions we may be able to split your job into 2 phases - if the job conditions permit we can install the pump only first - this, in and of itself, may resolve your issues (dependent on the substrate) - if necessary we can do the cut channel thereafter - the cost for the cut channel would be noted on the pump work order so you would know what the total cost could be, if required - the quote would be effective for 1 year following the pump installation...
SUBSTRATES:
What is beneath your floor (the substrate) has a great deal to do with how any water issue is resolved - your floor base can be stone (the best), sand, dirt, clay, hardpan, ledge or a thick viscous mass that has the consistency of strained baby food (the worst - it is a homogenized mass of which there is no longer any distinction between liquid and solid) - each of these elements have their own characteristics as to lateral water movement and effective evacuation...
All sump pump procedures are used to extract below grade under floor water - in some extreme cases, large floor square footage areas or consistent high water table conditions (such as wetlands), more than 1 pump may be required...
----------------------------------------------------
COMMERCIAL:
Lost floor space can be more costly than having it fixed - breaking up large floor areas to install pipe is not necessary - for larger floor areas we would determine water entry location, volume, degree of hydrostatic pressure and direction of flow source - this will enable us to locate a pump(s) in a specific area(s) and avoid using failure prone under slab perforated pipe - costs are significantly less w/o the pipe installation, preserves the structural integrity of the floor and limits our work area as not to disrupt yours - jobs completed within 1 day - if you are a production facility an "after hours" installation can be arranged...
If you have a heavy floor load or floor vibration extensive floor cutting is not recommended - even a rebarred floor can crack...
